Telecommunications is one of the major research themes of SLTC as a subsidiary of Sri Lanka Telecom, Sri Lanka’s largest Telecommunication service provider. It focuses on the groundwork that will strengthen the wireless and optical communications systems of the future as well as the applications and services that will be delivered over those communication systems. The findings of the telecommunication research activities provide crucial importance in improving the standard of telecommunication industry and services in Sri Lanka, and the economy and quality of life in Sri Lanka.
